Our Sound Lab:
A space for mind, body and sound

For centuries, instruments like gongs and singing bowls have been used for their powerful, resonant sound, capable of producing rich low frequencies.

Research in vibroacoustic therapy suggests that such vibrations can engage the nervous system, influence brain waves and lower the heart rate – especially when experienced as physical vibration in the body.

n our Sound Lab, the frequencies of several carefully selected gongs and singing bowls are transmitted to a vibroacoustic sound bed, so their vibrations are not only heard, but physically felt.

While vibroacoustic tables and beds exist elsewhere, they are typically either purely acoustic — based on strings — or purely electronic, playing pre-recorded sound files.

Our approach is hybrid: at its center is a monochord sound bed with strings, onto which the vibrations of gongs, singing bowls, and electronic soundscapes are transmitted vibroacoustically.

This creates an immersive sound experience that sets the entire body into vibration, down to a cellular level, while live-played instruments allow for a nuanced and personally guided session.

In Our Sound Lab sound and vibration are tools for inner exploration. Individual responses and experiences vary from person to person and can also depend on factors such as personal sensitivity, intention, and day-to-day condition. All experiences are subjective in nature, and no specific effects can be guaranteed.
